Healthwatch Halton NHS Long Term Plan Public Views Report

Healthwatch Halton has published a report outlining the public’s views on the NHS Long Term Plan.

The NHS has produced a Long Term Plan, setting out all the things it wants health services to do better for people across the country. For these plans to work, the NHS needs to shape local plans based on local needs. We asked people #WhatWouldYouDo to improve local services in Cheshire and Merseyside.

Earlier this year, more than 2800 residents, patients and their families from Cheshire and Merseyside, including 291 from Halton shared their views on what matters to them in local NHS  and care services.

The people of Halton told us that they would like:

  • Access to the help and treatment they need when they want it.
  • Professionals that listen.
  • Easier access to information

  • The ability to be able to stay in their own home for as long as it was safe
