Cancer and Dementia Project

Are you living with, or supporting someone with diagnoses of cancer and dementia?
End-of-Life Partnership want to find out about the experiences of people who are living with a diagnosis of both dementia and cancer.

This work aims to improve support for people who are living with these two conditions, and for those who provide care for them (this includes both family/informal carers and professionals).

The partnership has two different opportunities available for people who are living with both diagnoses and/or carers who may wish to share their experiences with the team;

  • You can share your story with a phone or video call, via a semi-structured interview. (Themes from these will be included within the project findings, but nothing will be shared that could be used to identify individuals).
  • A person with lived experience of dual diagnosis could join the project steering group and help shape the work that the team are doing. For this role, meetings will take place online via Microsoft teams, but travel expenses are available if a volunteer would prefer to meet in person.

Based on the findings of the work described above, the project team will co-produce recommendations about how support could be improved . The project will run from April 2024 - February 2025.
