Become a Patient Safety Partner

Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic volunteers who are committed to helping improve patient safety as a Patient Safety Partner (PSP).

Patient Safety Partners will be actively involved in the continuing design of safer healthcare and will:

  • Support the Trust to develop and embed the new Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) and make sure the trust continue to consider and prioritise the views of  service users, patients, carers and families in their response to patient safety  incidents.
  • Share ideas to further improve and implement patient safety across the Trust.

Working with the Patient Safety Team, these roles will require a commitment of between 8 to 10 hours per month initially for a twelve month period. The trust are looking for people who  represent the needs and interests of users, of the services, and ultimately want to improve health care.

You will need an awareness of the experiences and perspectives of Bridgewater communities. For example, people that find it difficult to access health services because of financial issues, health conditions or accessibility needs.
