M-RIC is a partnership between Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Liverpool. It brings together healthcare staff, researchers, service users and industry to develop and evaluate new mental health treatments and deliver more innovative services.

M-RIC is recruiting up to 10 Service User Representatives to share their experiences and insights and look at research plans through a different lens. They will help widen the perspective of mental health researchers and clinicians.

Service User Representatives will be expected to attend regular meetings as a core part of the research team. They will take part in planning, discussions, engagement and decision making.

M-RIC wants to encourage people from a wide range of ages, communities and backgrounds to get involved in their research and participation is welcomed from individuals from diverse communities, as they understand the challenges different groups face when accessing healthcare services.

No previous experience of research is needed to get involved. You just need some time to spare and the drive and enthusiasm to make a difference and help improve mental health treatments and services.

Service User Representatives will be compensated for their time in line with National Institute for Health and Care Research guidance and they will receive appropriate training and support.
