No explanation given about the process despite being asked. Vague, unhelpful advice offered, unsure of the evidence base.

I just wanted to take a minute to express how wonderful me and my daughter think Charlotte is. She’s so good with my daughter, very thorough and very kind and friendly. She explains what she’s doing every step of the way and makes the whole appointment an actually enjoyable experience.
Thank you so much Charlotte

Being told I am stupid and need parenting classes when you ask for help to get diagnosis and been trying now for years.

Where do I start with Woodview? My 3 year old child was referred at the beginning of 2021. We have been waiting 14 months for a diagnosis and still nothing. Their communication is appalling. They don't update you at all (you have to chase them). They don't ring or send letters. They leave you to read minds which unfortunately I cannot do. We was told 7 different dates for assessment, October 2021, November 2021, New Year 2022, "We don't know", March 2022, "We don't know" again and now "possibly a 6 month wait". Everytime I call them I get the usual "we can't really give you a date" "We have everything together now we are just waiting for a date for you" How reassuring is that?! I am terribly confused, I cannot keep up with this place. The children of Halton deserve better care than this dreadful place! Formal complaint put in and solicitors it is! Hopefully CQC will sort this place out! (I have also emailed them). How can you run a service and not give patients legit, correct appointment dates? The GP doesnt tell people "sorry we can't give you an appointment date" so what gives you the right to be able to do this? We are sick of being passed from agency to agency and treated like a number! Woodview are just a massive barrier! Avoid!
Utter farce from start to finish

Been dealing with these since my daughter was 3 months old, she is now nearly 3 and I can honestly say that Woodview have contributed little to nothing to help towards her improvement.
I have tried to look how to make an official complaint and will be raising more concerns with them at our next MAP meeting. Most staff and receptionists have an attitude problem and little to no bedside manner, they don't actually care about your child theyre just another name in a book, they don't have physio files that they are supposed to share with you as I embarrassingly didnt have one at a recent Alder Hey appointment when there physio asked for it. They give you no aids or information to help with tasks they set you until there next meeting, when that is is always a fun mystery in our house, I'm currently at 3 months without seeing a physio or OT even though my daughter is at a stage when she would benefit from block therapies or even recurrent therapy because of her sensory issues.
I could go on and on about the place but honestly I don't wanna waste anymore time on them.

My eldest son was passed through the system for over a year and we had to wait an additional 6 months for a referral. It took 3 years for them to say he wasn't autistic no ados assesments apart from a speech disorder. He was put on a watch and wait for 6 months and now attends a dual placement for hsi need with an ehcp. His condition has got worse and we are getting zero support as nobody is willing to listen. My youngest son has had an ados and is above the cut off for highly functioning autism as well as doctor reports to say they think he is also presenting as autism and sensory processing disorder to then be discharged with no diagnosis . His reports have been made purely based off hearsay as no doctor has actually seen him face to face since Dec 2020 and they've also got information incorrect regarding his learning. It looks as if they've mixed his paperwork up with my eldest and the information is incorrect which to me shows they do not value my children whatsoever . Absolutely disgusting service for a team who have a duty of care for your child .
Exactly shocking

Waiting for more than 5 months for the referral to be acknowledged. severely emotionally disturbed child who needs assessment and assistance yet we are expected to wait close to half a year for the referral to be even acknowledged. disgusting and unprofessional to say the least, the lack of urgency or agency within Bridgewater is stultifying the care of children with significant needs and it is not acceptable.
Poor quality of care

I have 3 children under woodview for Developmental delays and have experienced nothing but hassle and constantly being ignored. Waiting for a telephone appointment for 3 hours to be told the paediatrician put my son down as did not attend although it was a telephone appointment where woodview contact myself spent the whole afternoon trying to get through and just getting no answer. When I eventually did get through asked to make a complaint and they gave me a phone number to ring. When I rang this number it was for the North East icart team!! So when I rang woodview office back they kept putting the phone down to me. Rude ignorant staff! If I knew of any other place to support my kids additional needs I would not attend woodview.
