Long waiting time on the phone

I rang up NHS 111 as my partner was feeling very unwell and had fallen on to the floor. There was a 30 minute wait on the phone. Meanwhile the messages kept saying I could use the online NHS 111 service. I didn’t have access to a computer and couldn’t wait 30 minutes for 111 to answer the call. In the end I hung up and rang 999. The ambulance arrived within 20 minutes and my partner was taken to Whiston Hospital.
